The latest addition to our vehicle selection is the Land Cruiser 4.2 Diesel, which is also known as the bushcamper. The vehicles’ reputation of reliability and robustness is arguebly the best under the experienced Africa or Australia traveller and that has its reasons. The Land Cruisers have a strong 4,2 litre straight 6 cylinder engine (without turbo), three 100% diff locks, which will get you ahead even in the worst offroad conditions.
Unfortunately, these vehicles are in comparison to the Land Rovers very thirsty indeed with an average fuel consumption of 15-30 Litre Diesel, depending on driving style and road conditions. The fuel capacity range
of the Land Cruiser is also notably less than that of the Land Rover.
The expensive rental rates of the Land Cruiser are due to high maintenance costs and to obtain the expensive vehicle.
